Earth Day is coming up this Sunday, April 22nd, and we’re getting into the spirit of things with some fun activities for kids! Check out some of our favorite ideas for outdoor fun below.
- Go on a nature walk! It’s going to be sunny and warm this Sunday in Vermont, so we’re planning a little a nature walk with our kids. To keep our littles engaged and excited, we like to print out a DIY scavenger hunt check list for them to fill out as they go. Check out this cute printable one here!
- Make your own herb garden. Whether you live in Vermont or Manhattan, starting an herb garden is a fun and easy project for both you and your littles. Grab some planters or any other containers you like (mason jars and recycled tins work great too!) and get your green thumb on!
- Create up-cycled sun-catchers. We love this idea for older kids who are a bit more hands on. Pull some plastic containers out of your recycling and try making your own sun-catchers with this great DIY!
- Watch a documentary. If the weather isn’t quite as nice as planned and you find yourself having to stay inside for the day, grab your kids and watch one of our favorite documentaries. We love ‘Chasing Coral’ on Netflix and ‘Jane’ on Hulu!
